The General Assembly is in session and there are several bills that are of interest to us. Legislative updates are being sent to all members as
they arrive. You can track legislation at http://leg1.state.va.us. Some bills you may want
to track are: SB702, HB292, HB748, HB750, HB921, HB1086, HB902, HB1133, HB1154, SB160, SB356, SB436, SB556 and SJ23.

The Alliance is interested in maintaining a roster of retired local agency social workers who would be interested in working part time in local
agencies after retirement. We have some directors who are very interested in hiring retired workers to help when there are vacancies. If you
are getting ready for retirement and would like to be on this roster, please email your contact information including the program areas you have
worked in to amitchell@kingwilliamcounty.us. If you know of retirees who might be interested,
please have them email their contact information as well. Thank you.
